A Shopify store's sales continued to increase, but Meta Ads was reporting significantly fewer purchases than Shopify. Browser-based tracking was losing conversion signals due to iOS privacy changes, Safari ITP, and browser ad blockers, resulting in incomplete attribution and unreliable campaign reporting.
Replaced browser-only client-side tracking with a server-side implementation using Meta Conversions API (CAPI), ensuring purchase events were delivered more reliably despite browser privacy restrictions and improving conversion attribution accuracy.
